Select Language

Binance has announced its full support for the upcoming upgrade and hard fork of the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network to ensure uninterrupted and optimal service for its users. In preparation for this upgrade, Binance will conduct wallet maintenance for the BNB Smart Chain on December 16, 2025, during which deposits and withdrawals will be temporarily suspended. This maintenance is expected to last approximately one hour. The BNB Smart Chain, created by Binance, is a blockchain platform designed to enable fast and low-fee transactions, with BEP20 serving as the token standard that supports Binance’s digital economy. The network undergoes continuous upgrades and hard forks to meet evolving technological demands and enhance security. The scheduled network upgrade and hard fork are expected on January 14, 2026, during which deposits and withdrawals of all BEP20 tokens on Binance will again be temporarily halted. However, trading activities, including spot, margin, and futures trading, will continue without interruption. Users are not required to take any additional actions, as Binance will handle all technical changes to ensure the upgrade is successfully completed. Throughout this period, user funds will remain fully secure, and services will automatically resume upon completion of the upgrade. The primary goal of this upgrade is to improve network performance and provide users with a more stable and secure experience. Binance anticipates that the successful completion of this upgrade will further strengthen its reputation in the digital cryptocurrency market.
