According to a report by Foresight News, the Kodiak project, a part of the Bera Chain ecosystem, has issued a security alert highlighting sophisticated phishing attacks targeting multiple associated projects. Hackers are exploiting sponsored advertisements appearing in Google search results, which deceptively mimic official websites. However, clicking these ads redirects users to fraudulent phishing sites. Initial investigations by the Kodiak Fi team reveal that both the Kodiak and Infrared projects are currently under attack, with other Bera Chain initiatives potentially at risk as well. In response, Kodiak has advised users to access their applications exclusively through official social media channels, such as X (formerly Twitter) and Discord, to mitigate exposure to these phishing attempts. This alert aims to raise user awareness and strengthen digital security measures to ensure the safety of all projects within the Bera Chain ecosystem.
