Truthor Launches Non-Custodial USDT Visa Card in El Salvador

Select Language

Cryptocurrency payment company Truthor has announced the launch of a non-custodial USDT Visa card in El Salvador. This card allows users to make payments directly from their wallets without the need for pre-loading funds or third-party custody services. A two percent fee will apply on currency exchanges, while Brazilian users will benefit from exemption of the IOF tax, which is typically imposed on international transactions in Brazil. Truthor aims to bridge the gap between traditional financial systems and cryptocurrencies, enabling users to utilize digital currencies securely and conveniently. USDT, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, is widely used in the crypto market as a stable currency. Non-custodial cards give users full control over their private keys and funds, reducing hacking risks and enhancing financial autonomy. El Salvador is the first country to recognize Bitcoin as legal tender and is actively promoting cryptocurrency adoption through various initiatives. The introduction of this Visa card is expected to facilitate crypto payments and transactions for local users, potentially boosting both domestic and international financial activities. While such non-custodial cards may further integrate cryptocurrencies into the financial system, users should remain cautious about price volatility and security concerns.
